In the first Reel Time with Rick Dickson installment of the New Year, Tulane’s Rick Dickson welcomes back all the Green Wave fans and invites everyone to get out of the cold weather that has gripped New Orleans and come see three days of TU basketball at Fogelman Arena this Friday-Sunday. The Wave women opens Conference USA play against Houston on Friday, while the Tulane men opens the home portion of their C-USA slate vs. UAB.
Along with the men’s and women’s games, each program will welcome back basketball alumni to their respective games on Saturday and Sunday and the women will host Conference USA rival Rice on national television on Sunday.
January also marks the beginning of several spring sports as the Tulane tennis, golf and baseball teams begin practice for their upcoming seasons. Tulane junior golfer Janine Fellows received a shout out from Dickson after she captured a the Arizona Silver Belle Championship over the holidays and the Tulane men’s tennis team is the next restored program to return to action as the Green Wave hits the courts this month for the first time since 2005.
